Mentis Sciences advanced composite radome material has undergone multiple industry standard sub- and full-scale tests, performing favorably. This material serves as a competitor to common ceramic solutions and is capable of maintaining its structural and electrical performance at temperatures of nearly 2000 degrees fahrenheit.
Mentis has designed radomes and nosecones for multiple domestic and international missile systems. Fabrication utilizes braiding and hand-layup techniques, supported by a Gerber CNC cutting table (with MultiSurf(r) software), CNC braiders, and Virtek LaserEdge(r) alignment systems used for precise, repeatable manufacturing.
To support material development, Mentis has assembled extensive material preparation and inspection equipment, testing capabilities, and analysis software.
